An exciting opportunity exists for a detail orientated Payroll Officer/Senior Payroll Officer to join a dynamic and successful Australian company with a warm & engaging culture and a supportive team network. This role will be a 12 Month Fixed Term and working in a small team for 2-3 days per week.
Position Description
Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager, your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and updating employee records in an accurate manner
- Processing weekly and fortnightly pay cycles for 50-300+ employees
- Managing stakeholder queries via phone and e-mail
- EBA and Award interpretation
- Assist with month end reporting
- General administration related to payroll services
- Set up new employees and terminations
- Other ad hoc duties
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have experience in a similar Payroll position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude
- Experience using medium - large payroll systems
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and positive working approach
