The Organisation

They are on the lookout for a Payroll Officer to facilitate the delivery of their monthly salaried payroll.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Delivery of the monthly salaried payroll which consists of approximately 2500 employees
- Processing terminations, redundancies and entity changes
- Responding to escalated payroll queries in an efficient and timely manner
- Maintenance of the payroll system
- Update and maintain accurate payroll records
- Maintain leave, sick and overtime reports
- Reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations
- Process variations, increases and calculation of back pays
- Preparation and payment of superannuation, workcover and other payroll related deductions
- Maintain administrative procedures and systems which enhance the delivery of services
- Identify opportunities for improving efficiencies, policies, procedures and practices and share these with the payroll team
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar payroll officer position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with SuccessFactors (EC/ECP) is highly regarded
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- High attention to detail including prioritising and organising workload
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure
- Confident when dealing with stakeholders both internal and external
- Able to take initiative and accountability for assigned task
