Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and high-performing environment, supporting a large and complex payroll function managing between 3,000–5,000 employees.
  
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while partnering with stakeholders across the business. Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role includes but is not limited to:
  • Manage weekly and fortnightly payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments.
  • Process and oversee payroll adjustments, including calculations for terminations, redundancies, and one-off payments such as bonuses and commissions.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and maintain accurate payroll records and reporting.
  • Process time sheets for casual employees.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and company policies.
  • Resolve payroll queries and collaborate with stakeholders to provide effective payroll support.
  • Contribute to payroll process improvements, service delivery enhancements, and ad hoc payroll projects and administration.
  
Ideal candidate
  • 3+ years of experience as a Payroll Officer
  • Experience processing high volume end-to-end payroll
  • Previous experience and understanding of ECP (SAP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of superannuation and payroll tax regulations
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Accurate data entry skills
