About the role:
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of complex payroll processes while also coaching junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of weekly and monthly payroll, while maintaining compliance across ANZ.
The responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing (weekly & monthly) across ANZ
- Managing complex payroll tasks including terminations, redundancies, back pays, and long service leave calculations
- Ensuring compliance with awards, agreements, and company policies
- Reviewing timesheets and rostering practices, providing guidance to leaders
- Performing payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Supporting payroll governance, SOP development, and reporting
- Coaching and mentoring junior payroll team members
- Acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries and escalations
About You You’re a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both the technical and people side of payroll.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in a similar Senior Payroll or end-to-end payroll role
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance
- Experience with payroll systems (Dayforce or Chris21 highly regarded)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
