Service Desk Team Lead

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a Managed Service Provider firm based in Perth's CBD. This boutique firm, is a close-knit team and is expanding to meet growing project demands. Where they are now seeking a Service Desk Team Lead, a chance to guide a technical team. This is a chance to work with a broad range of industries on projects such as Mining, Agriculture, and Professional Services. 

The Role:
As a Service Desk Team Lead, you’ll take charge of a high-performing technical support team within a fast-paced managed services environment. This role combines leadership, hands-on support, and strategic thinking. Acting as the key escalation point for complex technical issues.

You’ll also play a critical role in shaping the support function, driving efficiency, maintaining excellence, and helping the team evolve alongside advancements in Microsoft 365, automation, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, support, and mentor a small service desk team, ensuring timely and effective incident resolution
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex Level 2 issues across hardware, software, and networking.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the helpdesk.
  • Provide hands-on support for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Exchange
  • Manage RMM platforms and implement automation tools using PowerShell and scripting
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver proactive, client-centric IT solutions
About You:
  • Experienced in a Level 2.5/3 or Service Desk Lead role within a Managed Services environment
  • Technical across M365, Servers, Networking.
  • Familiar with RMM tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Datto)
  • Comfortable balancing team leadership with hands-on support
  • Strong communicator with a customer-first approach and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Keen on developing others while also continuing to grow your own career.
