They are renowned for their commitment to quality and innovation and are looking for a State Hygiene Manager to join the team on a night shift based in Sydney.
About the Role
As the State Hygiene Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our hygiene team by developing and implementing hygiene strategies in alignment with company policies. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, drive strategic improvements using data, and effectively manage both budget and resources. Your leadership will be essential in upholding high standards and achieving operational, regulatory, and sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities include championing the vision of Zero Injuries, participating in incident investigations, ensuring compliance with legal and company hygiene standards, delivering high-quality hygiene services, documenting and training on cleaning methods, managing and developing your team, and overseeing the labour and cleaning/chemicals budget. You will also promote the values, identify and drive improvement opportunities. Additionally, collaboration with quality, production, Site, Safety, and HR Managers, as well as building positive relationships with internal and external hygiene resources and suppliers, will be crucial to your success.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience in hygiene management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of effective sanitation methodologies in food production settings, including low and high-risk environments.
- Internal auditor skills and experience with customer and certification standards preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across various functions and levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive change through structured methodologies and attention to detail.
