Market leading retail / FMCG business supplying households across Australia is seeking a strong commercial finance leader to support the GM for Queensland.
The Role
Provide strategic guidance for the GM, assessing business performance and build cross-functional relationships at all levels. Lead, manage and motivate a diverse team to create an environment of excellence and continuous improvement. The State Commercial Manager role has a long term impact on how this organization protects and grows value.
Key areas:
- Work with Global FP+A team in the development of accurate budgets, forecasts and long-term plans for the business units
- Partner with the GM's on pricing and contract negotiation with external clients
- Deliver financial analysis and report on margins and store profitability, working closely with the National FP&A teams.
- Develop accurate business cases and Commercial support and capex request cases
- Manage all costing systems and projects and drive process/systems improvements.
- Lead the commercial function and ensure that systems and policies are in line with strict accounting standards.
- Degree qualified (Accounting) and a qualified accountant CPA / CA, preferably able to start in next 2-3 weeks.
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills
- Demonstrated experience within an accounting, analytical or related commercial role with previous FMCG / retail experience is highly desirable
- Advance system skills including Excel & Access
- Previous demonstrated leadership experience/ working with multiple different stakeholders.
