Supply Chain Planning Manager | Specialty Manufacturing | Melbourne West

The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, globally connected manufacturing business as the lead for supply chain planning across the ANZ operation. Backed by a multinational parent with a strong commercial track record, this business operates with genuine autonomy at the local level — and this role sits at the centre of it.
Reporting to senior leadership, the Supply Chain Planning Manager owns the end-to-end planning function: from demand forecasting and production alignment through to international procurement and inventory optimisation. If you are a planner who wants commercial influence — not just schedule management — this is worth your attention.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead demand planning and forecasting processes in a specialty manufacturing environment
  • Align production schedules with demand plans, managing raw material and finished goods requirements across BOMs
  • Manage international import/export operations including freight, customs, and supplier coordination across global manufacturing sites
  • Oversee inventory management to balance service levels and working capital
  • Drive S&OP outcomes in partnership with production, sales, and commercial teams
  • Support commercial reporting including pricing and margin analysis using Excel-based tools
  • Lead and develop a small, high-performing planning and operations team
About You
  • Proven demand planning experience within a manufacturing or production environment — you understand MRP, production scheduling, and BOM-level planning
  • Solid experience managing international shipping — import/export documentation, incoterms, and international freight coordination
  • Comfortable working with Excel-based reporting and analysis to support commercial decision-making
  • Commercially aware with the ability to connect planning decisions to broader business performance
  • Strong communicator and stakeholder manager across operations, commercial, and senior leadership
What's on Offer
  • A genuine leadership position with direct influence on commercial outcomes in a profitable, well-backed business
  • Broad, end-to-end remit spanning planning, international logistics, and team leadership
  • A lean, high-trust environment where your contribution is visible and valued
  • Established business with a strong market position and the backing of a global group
  • Melbourne's western suburbs — accessible, on-site role
