Overview

Reporting to the National Tender Manager, the Tender writer will assist with  managing the end-to-end tender process, from reviewing requirements and coordinating stakeholder input through to producing compelling, compliant submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, coordinate and submit high-quality tenders, bids, proposals and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
  • Analyse tender documentation to identify customer requirements, evaluation criteria and key win themes.
  • Develop compelling, tailored responses that clearly articulate the organisation's value proposition.
  • Managing bid timelines, coordinating reviews, approvals, and version control throughout the bid process.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure submissions are accurate and commercially competitive.
  • Use AI tools to enhance productivity, research and drafting while applying sound judgement, editing and commercial insight to deliver polished final submissions.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the tender content library while ensuring responses are customised to each opportunity.
  • Ensure submissions are compliant, professionally presented and submitted within required timeframes.
  • Ensuring brand consistency and quality across all proposal documents.
  • Participate in tender debriefs and identify opportunities to improve future submissions, content and processes.
Skills / Experience 
  • 3+ years' experience in tender writing, bid management or proposal development.
  • Exceptional written communication, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • The ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify what matters most to customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 ecosystem, Previous experience with CRM’s, experience in using AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining originality, quality and accuracy.
  • A proactive, solutions focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
