Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Job title : Warehouse & Distribution Manager
Location : Victoria
Job type : Permanent or Full Time
Job reference : 1730550
The Company
Our client is a diversified Australian business operating across three divisions spanning sports equipment, automotive, and corporate attire. Having recently consolidated their operations into a single, purpose-built warehouse facility in Laverton North, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth and operational maturity. With a predominantly B2B customer base and a team of 20 warehouse staff, this is a business that is investing in getting things right.

The Opportunity
This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to own the warehouse function from day one. With a recent relocation and a warehouse management system project currently underway (NetSuite), the incoming manager will play a central role in shaping how the operation runs, not just maintaining the status quo.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager and with visibility to senior leadership, this role suits someone who knows what good looks like, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and thrives when there is real work to be done.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 20 warehouse staff across inbound, outbound, and inventory functions
  • Drive the ongoing implementation and optimisation of NetSuite WMS
  • Establish and embed standard operating procedures across the consolidated facility
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, stock management, and fulfilment performance
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS obligations
  • Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders across three business divisions
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and carriers, including unplanned inbound activity
About You
  • Proven experience in warehouse or distribution management, ideally within a multi-category or multi-division environment
  • NetSuite WMS experience is highly regarded and considered near essential for this role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and build structure in dynamic environments
  • Strong safety knowledge and a track record of embedding a safety-first culture
  • Commercially minded with the ability to have robust conversations with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Hands-on by nature; you are not someone who manages from a desk
What's on Offer
  • $110,000 - $120,000 + superannuation
  • Laverton North location
  • Genuine ownership of the warehouse function with senior leadership visibility
  • A business that is growing and investing in its operations
