An exciting opportunity has been created for a Work Health & Safety Officer to take ownership of workers' compensation and return to work activities, while supporting broader safety initiatives. 

About the Role
Reporting into the Work Health & Safety Manager, you'll be the go-to specialist for workers' compensation, return to work and injury management, while partnering on a range of workplace health and safety initiatives.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing workers' compensation claims from end to end
• Coordinating return to work programs and injury management plans
• Liaising with injured workers, rehabilitation providers and insurers
• Conducting incident investigations and supporting corrective actions
• Reviewing claims performance, insurance matters and annual renewals
• Partnering with operational leaders to improve outcomes
• Supporting workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety reviews
• Contributing to ongoing WHS projects, compliance activities and safety culture initiatives
• Analysing injury trends and identifying opportunities for risk reduction and prevention

About You
You'll likely bring experience from:

• Workers' compensation or claims management environments
• Injury management or rehabilitation services
• Return to work coordination roles
• Hospitality, restaurant or franchise-based operations 
• Workplace investigations or safety-related positions

We're particularly interested in candidates with:

• Strong workers' compensation and return to work expertise
• Experience managing workplace injury claims and investigations
• Knowledge of rehabilitation and recovery processes
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and confidence to work directly with operational leaders
• An interest in developing broader WHS capability over time
