We’re partnering with a leading organisation seeking a Workday System Specialist to support the ongoing optimisation, stability, and governance of their Workday environment.

This role blends hands-on system administration with stakeholder engagement, ensuring Workday effectively supports Payroll and HR operations while enabling accurate, data-driven decision making.

You’ll work closely with Payroll, HR, IT, and external vendors to maintain system performance, deliver improvements, and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day support across Workday HCM and related modules
  • Maintain HR master data in line with governance and data integrity standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, managing tickets within defined SLAs
  • Support system enhancements, configuration changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders to design, test, and implement system updates
  • Ensure payroll configurations align with Enterprise Agreements (EBAs), awards, and legislative requirements
  • Produce reporting, dashboards, and insights to support business decision making
About you:
  • Proven experience in Workday HCM system administration
  • Exposure to modules such as Learning, Recruitment, or Absence
  • Strong focus on data accuracy, reporting, and analytics
  • Experience working with stakeholders across Payroll, HR, and IT
  • Understanding of payroll compliance, including EBAs, awards, and statutory obligations
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
This is an initial 6-month contract, suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of a Workday environment and driving improvements in a hands-on capacity.
