A highly regarded, international professional services firm is currently seeking an experienced and versatile Accountant to join their growing Financial Advisory team. The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role offers a broad range of responsibilities across accounts payable, revenue and project accounting, and management reporting. You’ll work closely with finance teams in Australia, the UK, and Hong Kong, supporting both transactional and strategic finance functions in a highly collaborative, professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of invoices, expenses, and credit card transactions
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage purchase ledger accounts
- Produce accurate client invoices, monitor time entry and rechargeable costs, and reconcile project costs
- Investigate project variances and support profitability reporting
- Maintain Work in Progress (WIP) records and manage debtor collections
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and management reporting
- Support intercompany reconciliations and maintain financial control files
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with financial controls
- Assist with audit processes and statutory reporting
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable
- Currently studying towards or holding a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA, or equivalent)
- High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, collaborative approach
- Experience with timesheet or project accounting highly regarded, however not essential
