We’re looking for a number of Senior Business Analysts to support a major digital transformation within a large Queensland Government department. These contract roles are central to modernising core systems—enhancing user interfaces, streamlining functionality, and boosting reporting and automation. You'll work closely with internal tech teams, business SMEs, and an implementation partner to help deliver a seamless rollout. Responsibilities Liaise with business stakeholders, tech teams, and vendors to capture and validate system requirements. Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and Agile artefacts (e.g. via Azure DevOps). Work with UI/UX designers to modernise interfaces and optimise user flows. Facilitate workshops, lead SME discussions, and present system showcases. Trace requirements through delivery, testing, and outcomes. Support the PM with planning, risk/issue tracking, and stakeholder engagement. Assist during testing, training, and go-live—including change and helpdesk support. Manage scope changes and ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation. Skills Required 8+ years' BA experience, ideally within large/complex organisations. Strong Agile delivery experience – user stories, sprint cycles, DevOps tools. Comfortable working across UI/UX, developers, and testers to align delivery with business needs. Experience with user interface upgrades or digital front-end redesigns. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Skilled in BPMN process modelling and BA documentation tools. Able to work independently and thrive in fast-paced project teams. Understanding of compliance and data governance. Government experience highly regarded.
