About the role:
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of our daily finance operations. This hands-on position encompasses end-to-end finance responsibilities, including transactional duties, tax and compliance, reporting, payroll management, and administration tasks. Seek someone with a proactive "can-do" attitude and a willingness to tackle tasks of any size, especially as the business continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting external accounting firm with month and year end
- Trust Accounting, accounts receivable and all invoicing
- Accounts payable process and reporting
- Management reporting of performance
- Cashflow management and forecasting
- WIP reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting process
- Processing fortnightly payroll
- BAS, FBT, GST, Payroll tax, superannuation, work cover
- Seek improvements in systems and processes and drive efficiencies
- Assist with preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Adhoc operational analysis projects
- Tertiary education in either Accounting, business or economics
- Part of fully CPA or CA qualified, preferred not essential
- Industry exposure to law or professional services preferable
- Motivated and vibrant personality to fit in with the business culture
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential
