Position Description
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will complete varying finance duties on a day to day basis. The client is really looking for someone who is driven, enthusiastic and is a go-getter, ready to sink their teeth into an exciting new challenge!
You will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Ensure integrity of the company’s financial data
  • Monitor, forecast, manage and report on the company’s cashflow
  • Assist with the preparation of the company’s annual budget and adhoc forecasts
  • Process monthly journal entries including month end accruals
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of relevant reports
  • Timely processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll for 100+ employees
  • Manage employee workcover claims, return to work plans and expense reimbursement
  • Reconcile and remit superannuation, payroll and PAYG tax and other payroll deductions
  • Oversee company accounts payable & receivable functions 
  • Support regular training programs to maintain staff skills and knowledge of current business systems
  • Develop, manage and maintain solid relationships with the internal and external stakeholders
  • Ad hoc tasks and process improvements as required

Ideal Candidate
With a minimum of five years experience in a similar all round accounts position, you will have excellent relationship management capabilities, and a desire to continuously improve processes. Accompanied with a high level of attention to detail, you will have a demonstrated ability to grasp new information, capability to meet reporting deadlines, and seek relevant information when necessary. You are proficient with MS Excel and using finance systems, and require minimal supervision to achieve and meet accounting objectives. You will have strong interpersonal skills and have a keen desire to work closely with the Finance Manager to improve current financial structures within the business.
