Our client is a market leader in their industry, and they pride themselves on having a great working culture with a supportive and collaborative team environment. They are currently seeking a determined Accounts Officer to join their finance team and hit the ground running in an exciting opportunity. This role will suit someone who likes to keep busy and is wanting to kick start their career in accounts.
Duties
Your role will comprise facets of both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Handling queries from both internal and external stakeholders
- Processing credit applications
- Setting up new vendors and customers
- Assisting with completing weekly and ad hoc payment runs
- Processing supplier invoices daily
- Bank and statement reconciliations
- Receipting payments
- Assisting with following up overdue / outstanding accounts
- Ad hoc tasks to assists the finance team where required
Prior exposure in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable would be ideal, as well as the following attributes:
- Desire and willingness to learn, with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Strong communication skills and relationship building skills
- High attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
