The Opportunity

Sharp & Carter are partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit an Accounts Officer on a permanent full-time basis. This role sits within a close-knit, collaborative finance team and offers guidance from executive finance leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and promptly resolve any discrepancies;
• Process all financial transactions, including transfers, receipts, payments, refunds, unclaimed funds, and dormant balances.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the opening, closing, and reconciliation of investment accounts.
• Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger postings.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Monitor and report on cash flow, ensuring timely payments and receipts.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external partners to resolve accounting queries.
• Contribute to team projects and support a collaborative and learning-focused finance environment.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in accounting in a professional services environment 
• Strong skills across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated analytical ability, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capability.
