The RoleWe’re seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of civil construction projects from planning through to completion. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving safety, quality, and commercial outcomes while coordinating design, scheduling, procurement, and on-site activities. You’ll collaborate closely with the project management team, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and performance.  About YouYou’re a qualified engineer with a background in civil construction who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to delivery. You take initiative, lead by example, and maintain a clear focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. You’ll bring: A tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. Proven experience delivering civil or infrastructure projects, ideally within a contractor environment. Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight timeframes. High-level computer literacy with strong Excel and report-writing capabilities. White Card (Construction Induction) and a current manual driver’s licence. Additional qualifications such as First Aid Level 2 and working knowledge of safety management systems (OHS, environmental, or quality) will be highly regarded. The role balances strategic leadership with hands-on involvement, providing oversight of day-to-day quality operations while driving longer-term improvement initiatives. The role will manage internal, external and customer audits, inspections and corrective actions, while overseeing product testing, quality monitoring and risk assessments across the production lifecycle. You will drive effective root cause analysis and the timely closure of non-conformances, partnering closely with Operations, Technical, Supply Chain and Sales to proactively manage quality and supplier risks. The role also supports commissioning and system uplift activities, embedding quality into new or evolving operations, while leading, coaching and developing the Quality team and delivering clear quality reporting and insights to support data-driven decision-making. About the Role We are seeking an experienced E&I Engineer on a 12-month contract to provide hands-on engineering support. This role focuses on reliability-centred maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational excellence. As the E&I Engineer, you will: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and control issues. Develop and optimise maintenance strategies, life plans, and preventative maintenance routines. Mentor and coach E&I technicians to ensure safe and effective practices. Support minor and capital projects, including electrical and instrumentation design work, ensuring compliance with site standards. Participate in daily Operations, Maintenance & Technical meetings to prioritise and resolve issues. Manage changes through a rigorous Management of Change (MoC) process. Requirements: Demonstrated experience working in a Major Hazard Facility (oil & gas preferred, or any industry with high-value assets). Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical Systems. Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ) or eligible for chartered status. Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
