The Accounts Officer will join a supportive and collaborative team on a full-time, temporary basis in Perth’s CBD, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Responsibilities The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable – 80%
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Reconciling accounts and statements, resolving discrepancies promptly
- Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong relationships
- Monitoring and managing the Accounts Payable inbox
- Preparing payments in line with internal approvals and workflows
- Supporting reporting and month-end processes
- Assisting with receipting and allocation of payments
- Performing reconciliations and supporting reporting requirements
- Ad hoc accounts and administrative duties as required
- Assisting the finance team with general tasks and process improvements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar high-volume accounts role
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt, learn quickly, and seek continuous improvement
- Willingness to ask questions, learn, and develop new skills
- Strong relationship-building capabilities with internal and external stakeholders
- Prior experience using Xero is highly desirable
