Sharp & Carter are proud to partner with a growing and well-respected construction business on the Sunshine Coast for the recruitment of an Accounts Officer on a permanent, part-time basis.
This is a broad, hands-on role where you will support the day-to-day accounting operations while playing a key role in supporting month-end processes and transactional obligations. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Accounts Ofifcer who enjoys variety, autonomy and the chance to influence operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts including AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and lodge BAS and statutory compliance reporting
- Manage payroll processing for site and office teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with awards and legislation.
- Monitor cashflow and support month-end processes
- Oversee subcontractor compliance, ensuring all insurances and documentation are up to date
- Liaise effectively with external accountants, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in a similar position (construction industry experience highly regarded, but not essential)
- High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with accounting systems and a proactive, solution-focused approach
