Due to exciting business transformation and growth plans, an exciting opportunity presents for an experienced Accounts Officer / Assistant Accountant to join the business among a close-knit team.


Position Description

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller your role will comprise elements of both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Complete daily bank reconciliations
  • Record all invoices on a daily basis
  • Complete supplier payment runs
  • Process monthly direct debit 
  • Complete payroll for 15 employees 
  • Generate monthly statements
  • Management of relationships with customers
  • Receipt and allocate customer payments
  • Follow up overdue / outstanding accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of month end reporting
  • Posting journals and accruals
  • Preparation of key financial statements
  • Relevant reporting duties 
  • Work with finance team to identify and implement business process improvement
  • Provide support to the finance team where required

Ideal Candidate

Will have proven experience in both Accounts Payable and Payroll, as well as the following attributes:
  • Excellent attitude with a keen desire to assist a close knit team
  • Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail with an ability to prioritise own work
  • Ideally completed CPA foundation exam
  • Excellent time management skills and a passion for finance
