The Client
Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking organization within the manufacturing industry. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join their Data Team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension and progression into the Accounts Payable team. This role is based in South of the CBD and offers an excellent opportunity for someone immediately available with 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience to further develop their career.

The Role
The Accounts Payable Administrator will initially support the Data Team with essential tasks. The role involves managing vendor coding, data entry, and basic administrative duties, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices. Once fully trained, the successful candidate will move into a broader Accounts Payable role, handling more complex vendor setups and payment processes.

Duties

As part of a collaborative team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Coding vendors to various companies within the group using Purchase Orders and AVN numbers.
  • Setting up new suppliers and vendors in the system.
  • Daily data entry of invoices and credit notes into the system.
  • Performing basic administrative tasks to support the Data Team.
  • Creating vendor profiles in the Accounts Payable system.
  • Sending remittance advice for invoiced payments.
  • Collaborating with the Accounts Payable team to manage the setup and maintenance of vendor records.
Skills and Experience
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Immediate availability is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
