The Company
My client are a growing Australian family owned business, with over 6 decades of industry experience. They have built a strong market reputation and loyal employee base, and are currently looking to add to that. Due to a member of their Accounts Payable going on maternity leave my client are seeking an experienced candidate to join their team for a minimum of 12 months.

Please note that due to the company growth and future plans, there is a possibility this role will be made permanent and as such my client is open to candidates that have a 4 week notice period. 

The Role
This position will report directly into the Head of Accounts, who has been with the business for over 15 years! Responsibilities include;
  • Data entry; checks and processing of all local invoices/credits for AUS and NZ. Follow up procing & purchase order status queries. Process monthly rental invoices.
  • Vendor management; Requests copy invoices & performs reconciliations where necessary. Answer all vendor enquires and payment requests. Maintains a healthy AP ledger and recommends updates to supplier files as required. As and when required, prepare quality documents for new suppliers
  • Payment runs; Prepares trial payments ready for authorization for the mid and end of month payment schedules. Prepares single payments to lodge at the bank. Prints/emails remittance advices where necessary. Electronic archiving of all paid invoices, delivery dockets etc in a timely manner.
  • Analyses vendor accounts/terms
  • Enter new suppliers once all documentation has been authorized
  • Assists with AR projects as required
  • Assists with special projects/ company corporate events as required
  • Continue to improve processes
  • Duties as directed
Your Experience
To be successful for this role, my client requires the following skills and personal attributes;
  • Minimum of 3 years in a full function Accounts Payable position.
