An exciting opportunity exists for an Accounts Payable Team Lead or Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic business located in Western Sydney. Our client is open to applicants with proven people-management experience, as well as seasoned Senior Accounts Payable Officers who are ready to step up into a leadership role.
The Responsibilities
- Complete all accounts payable activities, including invoice processing and supplier query management.
- Generate and review weekly supplier payment files prior to approval.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier master data.
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee corporate credit card administration and weekly staff expense reimbursements, with support from the AP Manager.
- Assist the AP Manager with weekly cash-outflow forecasting, cash-management activities, and AP-related balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee daily team workflows, including training, development, and mentoring.
- Partner with the Group Financial Controller, CFO, and Finance team on process automation, systems integration, and efficiency improvements.
- Respond to internal stakeholder queries and ensure timely actioning of AP emails.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a comparable leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end processes, including general ledger structures and coding.
- Proficiency with large ERP systems.
- Proven ability to identify and drive process and system improvements.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical capability.
- Experience with foreign currency supplier payments and cashflow forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels internally and externally.
