The Organisation
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to take a step into a supportive environment and be apart of a large and growing business. As the Payables Lead you will lead from the front, continue to think of innovative ways to run the function and still continue to grow your own career. 
  
Duties & Responsibilities 
Being hands on you will be responsible for end to end accounts payable, including but not limited to the following;
  • Validation of data
  • Leading a  team of 4 accounts payable officers
  • Manage and process invoices, maintain aged payments ledger, ensure timely payment, perform reconciliation of accounts payable clearing account.
  • Ensuring that payment runs are done on time.
  • Variance and stock adjustment journals as required.
  • Resolve issues arising from accounts payable and general accounts services responding to and resolving enquiries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee and review procurement processes to ensure consistency and fairness. 
  • Provide advice and recommendations to management to ensure best practice procurement. 
What we are looking for; 
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement within a finance function. 
  • Has previous experience in leading an accounts payable function 
  • Experience in the support of procurement function and/or high-level knowledge of procurement processes (desirable).  
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
