Our client is looking for a switched-on Accounts Officer to join their accounting team. The role and the business are suited to someone who is flexible, pro-active and multi-tasking and can manage effectively and is willing to learn and take on new things.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the accounting and related duties specifically surrounding Treasury, Finance and Payroll as follows:
- Drafting Lines of Credit
- Book daily Foreign Exchange contracts in the banking system
- Prepare and Submit Trade Loan applications
- Prepare balance sheet, bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Monitoring of MIRO Variances (Weekly/Monthly)
- Assist with commission calculations
- Process payroll related payments to employees, tax authorities and third parties
- Prepare and process payroll-related journal entries
- Generate and prepare recurring and ad hoc payroll reports
- Reconcile and clear the payroll GL accounts in SAP
- Submit Single Touch Payroll online
The successful applicant will have
- 2-3 years experience in an Accounts Officer or Assistant Accountant role
- Exceptional communication skills
- Excellent communication - both written and oral
- A good, genuine character who is open to learning
