About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a broad Assistant Accountant role that will see you working across both financial and operational tasks. You’ll be hands-on with the numbers while also engaging closely with stakeholders across the construction, sales and estimating teams.
This opportunity would suit someone with 1–3 years of experience who is ambitious, switched-on, and looking to grow their career in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Whether you’re in industry or a first mover from big 4 or a mid tier firm Audit or Business services, this role offers the right support and exposure to take your next step.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end close, journals and reconciliations
- Prepare and support BAS, PAYG and other compliance tasks
- Process and review accounts payable and receivable
- Support rebate claim tracking and reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting
- Partner with key internal stakeholders across the business
You will be:
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or similar
- 1–3 years into your accounting career (either in industry or public practice)
- A confident communicator who enjoys solving problems and working cross-functionally
- Motivated, proactive, and eager to develop both technically and commercially
- Previous exposure to construction or project-based environments is a bonus, not a must
