An ASX listed and strongly performing Australian business, our client are paving the way for customer experiences and delivery across a range of applications across Australia. The fast paced nature in which they operate calls for a skilled Assistant Capital Accountant to join the team on a fixed term contract.
*Please note: This is a contract role and will finish on EOM May 2024
About the Role:
As the Assistant Capital Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team and provide a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career in finance and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role performs the accounts payable function in the processing of Reconfiguration related invoices, expense claims and credit card transactions. From time to time as required this role performs the same function for Development related expenditure.
You will be responsible for though not limtied to:
- Reconfiguration job cost maintenance
- Creation of subcontract orders / purchase orders
- Forecasting and reporting
- Assisting the Tenancy Delivery team within their ERP system
- Adding value to the business through accurate reporting
- Monitoring and analysis of Reconfiguration
- Leasing Capital expenditure including Reconfiguration accruals and reconciliations
Ideal Candidate:
You will have prior experience in a similar Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant based role, as well as the following skills and attributes:

- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confidence in making high volume calls on a daily basis
- Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Possess an empathetic, resilient and positive can do nature
- Experience with JDE or another major ERP is advantageous
