Our client is an established and diversified technology-based professional services provider with a wide range of tier one clients. Focused on scaling the business into the future, they are in need a highly capable CFO to work alongside the CEO and broader ELT.
  
They offer a trusted and flexible working environment.  The team comes together two days per week in the Brisbane office with the remaining three days operating remotely. 
  
About the Role
Reporting directly to and partnering with the CEO, this is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing executive team and oversee the strategic and financial operations whilst supporting the continued growth of both domestic and international markets.

They require a CFO to be responsible for the end-to-end financial function including leading the finance team, reporting, taxation, compliance, audits, investor relations, capital raising, corporate financing and M&A activities.
  
The CFO will be responsible for:
  • Lead a small geographically spread finance team (FC, Senior FA & Finance Officer)
  • Holding ultimate responsibility for financial control, compliance & corporate governance functions for a listed entity
  • Develop FP&A function within the business, implement dashboard reporting and visibility of the numbers across operational areas for the ELT
  • Improve reporting, providing recommendations to management around the financial soundness of day to day business decisions
  • Taking a lead in any M&A activities and subsequent integration of new businesses
About You
The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold formal qualifications (CA/CPA/CIMA) and considerable experience in reporting and control in a CFO or equivalent position (open to an FC/Head of Finance looking for their first CFO move as well).
  • Experienced within a publicly listed environment including ASX reporting and dealing with related regulatory bodies. 
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and ‘hands on’ level.
  • Ideally, have experience within a technology-related organisation or scale up environment in a commercial setting.
  • Have proven success in designing and implementing systems and processes which improve reporting efficiencies, internal controls and overall governance.
