About the Role:

Sharp & Carter have partnered with a leading manufacturing business to recruit for a newly created position working in the head office in Perth. We are partnering with this excellent organisation to help source a Commercial Manager with a strong analytical background. 

The ideal candidate for this position with be a strong communicator, somebody determined, an excellent collaborator, with the ability to build strong relationships internally across the executive team. 
 
In this role, you will analysis Supply and Operations financials, create transparency through quantifiable reporting mechanisms that consolidates multiple regional P&Ls that encompasses the full supply and operational value chain across the cost to serve model.

  • Building analytical and commercial capability through Supply and Operations teams. 
Primary Commercial Accountabilities 
  • Using the budget and P&L build a cost to serve model that consolidates on a global level and drills down regionally.
  • Report monthly on supply and operational performance by region verse the budget, route cause analysis on anomalies and corrective measures.
  • Report month on actual vs planned on all cost to serve initiatives and ad-hoc projects at a consolidated global and regional level.
  • Scenario plan and report on profit margin & working capital outcomes from initiatives that impact COGS.
  • Scenario plan and report on CAPEX and OPEX outcomes related to unbudgeted and budgeted initiatives.
  • Make recommendations on findings, drive ad hoc projects allocated that lead to COGS, OPEX reduction and GP improvement.
  • Drive and improve existing management reporting to be more accurate and timelier – are informative and deliver clear actionable results.
  • Study and analyse trends and forecasts to inform recommended actions.
  • Establish policies and procedures that guide cost analyses.
  • Analyse financial results to determine key takeaways and recommendations to SLT Operational COE
Secondary Analyst Accountabilities
 
  • Collaborate with Supply and Operations orchestrators and executors, Technology teams, Business Stakeholders, and acting as the main liaison for commercial and analytical activities.
  • Supply and Operations Business process mapping and Gap analysis.
  • Facilitate AS–IS–TO–BE process analysis and documentation activities.
  • Impart your knowledge of the Commercial Supply Chain, suggesting ideas for best practices and improvements in process and system improvement and upgrade initiatives.
  • Support Supply and Operations Technology solution deployment and or enhancement as the commercial data champion.
  • Project manage transitional processes that align and deliver the agreed TO-BE processes.
  • Liaise and integrate with technology teams to drive system implementation or improvements.
 
Your Profile 

University educated in a commerce, supply or information system role with 10+ years of experience in Commercial Management, Supply or Operations from an FMCG, Consumer Goods or related industries.
  
This is a Commercial Business Analysis lead role that requires you to come from a background working across various Supply and Commercial Management so that you’re comfortable acting as the bridge between Finance, IT, Supply & Operations teams, and senior business stakeholders.
Your commercial, analytical skills, strategic mindset and ability to work in a matrix organisation will be key to your success along with;
  • Global Experience – consolidated P&L
  • Commercial Manager / Business Analysis experience working in the Supply Chain, Logistics, and Inventory planning.
  • Extensive Business Analysis experience working across the full commercial spectrum for Supply Chain or Retail business systems.
  • Bring an understanding of Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, and Inventory planning domain areas will enhance your overall success in this role.
  • Proven experience working with Business stakeholders, Technology Teams, and Product and Supply Chain subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure commercial align with business goals, business needs and stakeholders' expectations.
  • Excellent process & data mapping skills.
  • Strong communication skills in dealing with stakeholders of all levels in a customer-facing environment.
