About the role
The Commercial Manager is the commercial and finance business partner for the Executive and Leadership team. As the Commercial Manager you will provide financial and commercial insights to fuel the growth of Oroton, prepare and further develop monthly Board reporting, Exec dashboards and financial reports. The annual planning calendar will be co-ordinated by the Commercial Manager and you will be responsible for developing longer term strategic business plans and financial forecasts and budgets.

You will work closely with other members of the Leadership team to execute on key business initiatives, being a trusted advisor on projects, financial performance and business analytics.

The responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for providing commercial expertise to the business with a focus on strategic planning, analysis and business partnering. More specifically, your role will include:
  • Support the Leadership team through the provision of performance and commercial information and analysis
  • Analysis of product line, category & channel performance
  • Review and report on financial results, including budget comparison, variances and discrepancies, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Produce, review and develop Board & management reports and commentary, ensuring they are accurate, insightful and consistent.  Adapting reporting to respond to changing business needs and maximising impact of reports
  • Drive strategic initiatives to ensure revenue and profit growth
  • Preparation and reporting of 3 year business plans supporting growth initiatives and annual budgets and forecasts
  • Development of functional dashboards to optimise business performance, and report key metrics critical to success (input & output)
  • Financial models to support business cases
  • Support key business projects, and monitor performance against business cases
  • Development of customer pricing models and profitability analysis
  • Spearhead process improvements across the business, identifying costs savings, process efficiencies and control weaknesses
  • Manage, coach and develop a small team, development and scoring of quarterly OKRs
  
The successful applicant will have
CA/CPA qualified you will be a commercially astute business leader who has demonstrated success within broad, strategically focused roles. You will have a proven track record of business partnering with senior executives and possess the ability to effectively communicate financial data to operations. Experience within Retail, FMCG or similar large company environment is highly advantageous.
