The Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this hands-on role will see you play a key part in supporting commercial decision-making and driving financial performance across multiple divisions. Responsibilities include:
- Generating weekly P&L reports across several transport and logistics business units
- Analysing and presenting KPIs with a daily, weekly, and monthly lens
- Assisting with month-end processes to ensure weekly and monthly results align
- Delivering ad hoc reporting and financial insights as required by the business
- Interpreting financial data to support strategic decisions
- Advising stakeholders on best practice financial management in collaboration with senior leadership
- Offering expert insights on forecasting, planning, and systems improvements
- Supporting both internal and external reporting needs with accuracy and efficiency
- Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
We’re seeking a commercially astute and proactive professional with the following:
- A degree in Finance or Accounting and experience in a large, service-based environment
- Exceptional communication skills — both written and verbal — with a knack for simplifying complex data
- Strong interpersonal abilities with confidence to collaborate at all levels
- Results-oriented mindset with the resilience to meet deadlines under pressure
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities independently and effectively
- Advanced Excel skills and strong experience in data analysis and manipulation
