The Opportunity

Ready to take the next step in your credit career? A well-established, Australian-owned business with national operations is seeking a motivated and capable individual to step into a Credit Officer position to support the National Credit Manager as their 2IC.

Based in Darra, this full-time role offers the chance to work as part of a national credit team within a dynamic, fast-paced B2B environment. You’ll be joining a close-knit group, contributing to credit risk assessments, collections, direct debit processing, and more - while gaining exposure to high-level credit operations within a substantial, growing business.

This is an ideal opportunity to build your leadership skills and advance your career in credit and collections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the National Credit Manager with credit operations and team coordination.
  • Assist in assessing credit risk for new and existing customers using financial data and credit checks.
  • Help manage customer credit limits while balancing risk and commercial opportunity.
  • Play a key role in collections, including direct contact with customers regarding overdue accounts.
  • Process and manage monthly direct debit transactions across a large customer base.
  • Liaise with a credit insurance broker for monthly reporting and risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to negotiating payment terms and arrangements that support customer relationships.
  • Operate within a tight-knit team focused on professionalism, accuracy, and a customer-first approach.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable - ideally in a high-volume, B2B setting.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in managing payment discussions with customers.
  • A desire to step into a support-leadership (2IC) position and grow professionally.
  • Sound understanding of credit processes including credit checks, risk assessments, and limit management.
  • Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
