As the organisation continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Credit Officer to join their Finance team. Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role includes but is not limited to:
- Manage debts that fall outside payment terms
- Flagging matters with delayed payments
- Handling queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Providing monthly statements to clients
- Preparing monthly debtor reports
- Conducting written and verbal follow-ups with debtors
- Managing overdue accounts and negotiating repayment terms
- Investigating and resolving invoice or account queries
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive debtor file notes
- Weekly and monthly reporting to the Credit Manager
- Meeting monthly collection targets
The Ideal Candidate
- Prior experience as a credit officer, ideally within professional services
- Strong dispute resolution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident in building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
- Effective problem‑solving skills with good influencing and negotiation capabilities
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
