An exciting opportunity presents for an experienced Credit Officer to join the business among a close-knit team in Altona, as soon as possible!
Position Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, and autonomously managing the debtors ledger, your daily tasks will include:
- Timely allocation and receipting of customer payments
- Follow up on all unpaid accounts on a regular and timely basis
- Set up and create new customers accounts
- Account and bank reconciliations
- Conduct credit checks, whilst assess and accurately alter customer credit limits
- Collection calls and emails to customers with overdue accounts
- Answer inbound queries from both internal and external customers
- Other duties as requested by your Manager
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Credit position as well as the following attributes:
- Ability to hit the ground running
- Energetic and positive can do attitude, with a keen eye for detail
- Well developed verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent time management & organisational skills
- Excellent negotiation skills with a drive to meet deadlines
