We’re partnering with a growing investment management / financial services business that’s making a significant investment in its technology environment. This is a hands-on Data Architect role for someone who enjoys building and owning data platforms, not just designing them.
You’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling the organisation’s Azure-based data capability during a period of growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning and evolving the Azure data architecture across core financial and investment systems
- Designing and building data models, pipelines, integrations, and lakehouse solutions
- Supporting complex financial and investment data flows
- Leading data migrations and platform uplift initiatives
- Working closely with technical and business stakeholders in a small, collaborative environment
- Remaining hands-on across design, build, troubleshooting, and optimisation
- Strong, hands-on Azure data experience (this must be your core platform)
- Background in financial services, investments, wealth, superannuation, or fintech
- Experience working with complex, high-volume financial data
- Solid experience with:
- Azure (Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS)
- SQL and Python
- Data modelling, ETL, and lakehouse architectures
- An architect who is still on the tools, not someone removed from delivery
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a lean, fast-moving environment
