About the role 

In this newly created role, you will be providing Executive Assistant support to the Managing Director of a fintech startup.  In this 1:1 support role as well as assisting with the onboarding of new clients and client management. Come into a business at a pivotal part of its growth and be a part of the team that takes it to the next level! 

This role will coordinate a small team of interesting and intelligent people. The role will be highly varied and will develop and progress as the business grows.
  • Diary management 
  • Organise travel and other related arrangements (flights, transfers hotel bookings) 
  • Event management, both internal and external 
  • Check agenda and supportive documents and notes
  • Identify and take any follow-up action arising from the notes that are required
  • Manage the transition and on-boarding of new customers 
  • Handle inbound & outbound client enquiries via phone and email;
  • Manage and escalate client enquiries;
  • Assist the credit team with the discovery process and risk approval for new customers;
  • Consistently identify ways to improve business processes and efficiencies;
  • Look for ways to improve the customer experience;
  • Setup for meetings including any required catering
  • Assists with letters and presentations
  • Carry out special projects as allocated 

Skills and Experience
We are looking for a motivated self-starter who enjoys working through new challenges as part of a team. You will pride yourself in your ability to communicate to external stakeholders and be eager to learn new processes. This role requires the individual to be able to apply critical assessment for a range of business functions and able to autonomously make on-the-spot decisions. Additionally, you will have the following: 
  • Strong communications skills, able to convey complex messages in a simple and effective manner
  • Demonstrated ability to be an analytical and critical thinker
  • Experience in client-facing role preferable
  • Experience in the finance industry is preferable
  • A passion for customer service with an excellent friendly phone manner and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident manner in dealing with difficult and challenging customers
  • Organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
