Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role will be instrumental in driving and managing the financial performance and accountability.  The focus will be on improving decisions by providing sound financial and operational reporting, analysis, cost management and support to the Supply Lead and Commercial teams.

Main Responsibilities - 
  • Business partnering with Operations to drive profit improvement. Provide quality commercial analytics, make recommendations and drive performance improvement processes.
  • Managing the accounting for inventory valuation and stock control to ensure accurate inventory, COGS valuation and product costing.
  • Facilitating the monthly planning cycle (IBP process) including the outcomes of monthly rolling forecasts based on operational plans as well as the analysis and explanation of deviations to previous plans.
  • Month-end / quarter-end / year-end closing encompassing responsibility for the Operations P&L including all reporting and analysis relating to planned and actual financial performance.
  • Improving commercial understanding and performance across the business by providing a clear understanding of results and drivers to business owners, challenging plans appropriately, and influencing future plans.
  • Demonstrating leadership thinking through building of relevant models to show more efficient ways the business can operate and playing a lead role in profit improvement.
  • Ensure conformance with internal control procedures and maintain accurate general ledger records.

The Candidate -
  • Accounting Degree
  • CPA or equivalent qualification or studying towards.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with large ERP system
  • Knowledge of accounting standards
  • Significant experience in similar roles within a manufacturing organisation.
  • Experience in a FMCG organisation desirable
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Manufacturing reporting and analysis
  • Manufacturing KPI development and implementation
  • Budgeting, forecasting and planning
