An opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager to join a highly reputable health organisation during an exciting period of growth. As the Finance Manager, you will play a hands-on role in managing the transactional finance and payroll functions for the organisation while leading a high-performing transactional team.
This role allows you the opportunity to work in a values-driven organisation who pride themselves on bettering healthcare for all Australians. You will work closely with the leadership group to ensure the ongoing growth and success of the business. This organisation is located in Brisbane CBD with close access to various public transport options.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the COO/CFO, this position is an integral role in the organisation and requires a high performing Finance Manager who is passionate about working for a purpose-led organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the full payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable lifecycle and processing of the organisation;
- Ensure management and accuracy of the general ledger;
- Prepare and analyse financial reports and forecasting to ensuring the ongoing financial state of the organisation;
- Support management with the development of various funding strategies;
- Ensure ongoing accuracy of financial compliance and legislative requirements;
- Ensure an ongoing appetite for process improvement and collaborative team engagement.
Skills & Experience
As the suitable candidate for this position, you will hold prior relevant and recent experience as a Corporate Services Manager, Finance Manager or Accounts Manager. CPA or CA qualifications are advantageous however not essential.
In addition, you will also:
- Demonstrated experience leading a high-performing transactional finance team;
- Adaptive communication style to ensure an open, professional and friendly manner to all levels within the organisation;
- High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a drive for continuous process improvement;
- High computer literacy with demonstrated experience with computers systems such as XERO, and payroll ERP systems.
