An exciting immediate start role with a industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Finance Manager's position will help leadin the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. Initially this will be a contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for this role to be extended.
The responsibilities
Reporting into the CFO, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws (PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation).
- Prepare and lodge BAS returns.
- Lead month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting.
- Support the annual audit by preparing workpapers and coordinating with auditors.
- Assist with tax compliance in collaboration with external advisors.
- Work with finance and cross-functional teams
- Coordinate audit and statutory reporting for legacy periods
- Assist CFO with timely month-end reporting and consolidation
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems
- CA or CPA qualifications
- At least 8 years experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Exposure to MYOB will be highly favoured
- Extensive corporate training
