The role
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Assist with the coordination of year-end external audit processes, including liaising with external auditors;
- Be involved in coaching & managing team members & their tasks
- Analyse business requirements to recommend and/or develop procedures/processes to solve & implement management/financial accounting requirements;
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual close schedules and associated reports;
- Supporting the Fixed Assets & Lease accounting team with accounting for leases
- Accounting for profit and loss & balance sheet accounts including preparation of monthly journals/general ledger reconciliations (including some review);
- Preparation of equity accounting for associates & joint ventures;
- Preparation of various investment trial balance take ups;
- Preparation of quarterly & annual asset impairment review;
- Provide accurate & timely monthly analysis/commentaries of results;
- Prepare technical accounting position papers for external audit purposes
You will be CA or CPA qualified qualified having started your career in either Chartered/Business Services organisation or you have worked your way up in a large complex business. You are hard working, ambitious and delivery oriented. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You want to be part of a team and work within a supportive environment.
