Position Overview:
As a financial accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team, responsible for ensuring accurate and transparent financial operations. Your primary focus will be on maintaining financial records, analysing data, and preparing financial reports. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and support the financial decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial data, identifying trends and patterns, and providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, principles, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise financial processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a financial accountant/ assistant accountant, preferably in the manufacturing or FMCG industries
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
