The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Financial Accountant to join the finance team in a full-time capacity. This role will play a key part in month-end processes, financial reporting, and supporting overall finance operations. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting tasks while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with day-to-day financial operations and banking queries
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ad hoc financial reports
- Identify and implement improvements to financial procedures
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register
- Assist with the preparation and lodgement of monthly tax compliance
- Provide backup support for the payroll function
- CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Excellent attention to detail, proactive, solutions-focused and eager to grow and learn.
- Open to both industry experience or ideal for someone looking to make their 1st move out of business services
- Your interpersonal and communication skills are exceptional, consistently displaying a willingness to provide ongoing support to all key stakeholders.
- You will have demonstrated strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
