The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to take ownership of core financial processes. working with the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in month-end reporting, reconciliations, and continuous improvement initiatives while contributing to a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain related registers
- Prepare and post accruals and journals in collaboration with Finance Business Partners
- Analyse income statement accounts to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting
- Assist with month-end tasks and reporting across multiple departments
- Contribute to process improvements and strengthen the reporting and control environment
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial support
- Uphold compliance with internal policies, work health and safety standards, and professional codes of conduct
- Tertiary qualified in Accounting with CA/CPA accreditation or working towards
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, preferably in a large organisation
- Proven ability to interpret and analyse financial data to support business decisions
- High-level Excel and financial systems skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
- Experience in healthcare is desirable but not essential
