About The Role: An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-established retail organisation. This role offers exposure to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting both local and international financial operations.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, audit preparation, compliance, and month-end processes. You'll also support broader finance projects and work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:   
  • Full ownership of financial accounting processes. 
  • Preparation of monthly bank, balance sheet, and other reconciliations.
  • Monthly revenue, commission, and expense calculations.
  • Oversight of P&L and balance sheet functions.
  • Debtors management and ad hoc invoicing (e.g. rebates, contributions).
  • Intercompany reconciliations and point of contact for related queries.
  • BAS preparation and submission at group consolidated level.
  • Prepare and review audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and local tax/regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors during bi-annual audits.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting, including capex planning.
  • Lead and support ad hoc projects, including process improvement and system upgrades.
  • Drive and manage the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and accruals are accurate.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualified (or currently studying toward qualification).
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar financial accounting role, preferably in retail, FMCG, Manufacturing or a high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience improving systems and processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
