The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, this hands-on Financial Accountant role will see you take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for accurate financial reporting, month-end processes, and supporting key commercial and operational decisions through insightful analysis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management and financial reports for group entities
- Manage month-end processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
- Complete and lodge BAS, PAYG, and other statutory returns
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Partner with operations to provide financial insights and cost analysis
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls
- Support external audit and tax compliance requirements
- Oversee payroll and assist with compliance reporting
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role within FMCG, manufacturing, or a product-based environment
- Strong understanding of management reporting, compliance, and cost accounting principles
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., MYOB, SAP, or similar)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across finance and operations
