Role Overview: Become an integral part of a leading retail corporation as a Financial Accountant. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and integrity within our systems and processes, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations, ensure compliance with finance policies, assist in drafting new policies, and compile audit-related information.
- Prepare tax entries and collaborate with the team to ensure timely action on outstanding items.
- Analyze and reconcile Moving Average Price (MAP) discrepancies, implementing adjustments as necessary for accurate financial reporting.
- Business partner with cross-functional teams including Stores, Warehouse, Accounts Payable, and Buying to investigate and resolve MAP discrepancies promptly.
- Identify and address system issues affecting MAP accuracy, driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory management processes.
- Execute month-end GL clearing tasks and fulfill Inventory-related Year End requirements with precision and timeliness.
- Facilitate regular meetings with Business Departments to provide updates on inventory financials and address any queries or concerns.
- CA/CPA qualification preferred
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Experience in Inventory costing methodologies, particularly Moving Average Price.
- Strong background in financial accounting, demonstrating attention to detail and analytical prowess.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and departments.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive training to excel in the role and contribute to the company's success.
