An exciting immediate start role with a industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Financial Accountant's position will assist the Financial Controller with year-end processes and the preparation for the audit. Initially this will be a contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for this role to be extended.
The responsibilities
Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Assisting the financial controller in the preparation of consolidation reporting for all group entities
- Review ABS reporting prepared by the team before submission
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, half-year and year-end closing process as per Group timetable;
- Assist with year-end audit process with external auditors and any other external or internal stakeholder requirements.
- Perform critical and key balance sheet reconciliation on behalf of the financial controller
- Overseeing the monthly and quarterly reconciliation of GL accounts
- Oversee technical review of all journals before and after posting
- Manage monthly indirect tax compliance as required
- Managing annual Income Tax Return (ITR) process.
- Other ad hoc accounting duties as required.
- CA or CPA qualifications
- Detailed exposure to month-end procedures
- SAP exposure is highly desired
- Infrastructure or construction experience will be highly regarded
- Exposure to PowerBI will be highly favoured
- Extensive corporate training
