Our client is a renowned global manufacturer, seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to join their team. As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management and strategic direction of the company. Reporting directly to a highly skilled CFO, you will be an integral part of a collaborative finance team, contributing to the growth and success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with global accounting standards and regulations.
• Ownership and control of the month-end process. Prepare monthly Management Reports and Board reports, accompanied with insightful variance analysis and commentary
• Accurate, timely and efficient processing of intercompany accounting entries for multiple Group entities (including elimination entity), ensuring that group consolidation and intercompany balances are reconciled and accurate.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Accurate accounting treatment and external compliance for related party/shareholder loans, including dividend compliance obligations (Div 7a loans) and the provision of proactive information and recommendations to shareholders and related parties.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiencies and implementing streamlined processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations for key business decisions.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, presenting findings to senior management.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate effectively with the CFO and other senior leaders to achieve organizational goals.
• Supervision and development of the offshore Finance team
• Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Risk Management:

• Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a fast-growing business environment.
• Manufacturing experience
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency in financial management software.
